Bullish prediction for bitcoin: coin to rally to US$20,000 in just 6 months

Rodrigo Marques, CEO of one of Brazil’s leading trading platforms Atlas Quantum, told MarketWatch that bitcoin (BTC) could hit US$20,000 in just six months. The bullish prediction comes just days after the close of Consensus, which many predicted would lead to a surge in prices. Despite the optimistic predictions, bitcoin remains low after a sluggish week, stagnating just below the US$8,500 mark.

TRON ranked 1st in a 7-day Github Commits Ranking

TRON (TRX) has ranked first in a 7-day Github Commits Ranking, according to a Tweet from the coin’s founder, Justin Sun. The rankings system lists coins based on their commit data, meaning TRON is listed as the ‘hardest working coin’. However this isn’t the first time TRON achieved first place – it previously ranked first at the end of April. Some Reddit users discounted the position, acknowledging that quantity does not necessarily mean quality.

VeChain listed on Zebpay, prices increase by US$0.15

One of India’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, Zebpay, has announced on Twitter they will now list VeChain (VEN), triggering a spike in prices. The price of VEN tokens saw a slight increase following the announcement to US$4.55. The coin was previously trading at the US$4.40 mark just hours before the announcement on Monday May 21, according to CoinMarketCap.

Google to launch possible cryptocurrency project, courts Ethereum founder

Google has reportedly approached founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin in the hope he will help the tech giant launch a blockchain project, according to The Independent. The Russian born programmer reportedly shared an email from Google recruiter Elizabeth Garcia on his Twitter, before deleting the Tweet soon after. The news comes shortly after Facebook announced earlier this month it would be exploring potential applications for blockchain. Google’s attempt at recruiting Buterin could suggest the tech giant has similar plans to launch a cryptocurrency project.
